Mizuno Wave Alchemy 10
The Mizuno Wave Alchemy 10 has been upgraded very well. Headlining this new model is the extremely pleasant sole. And a new lacing eyelet for improved heel locking.
This motion control shoe is one of the most supportive shoes from the Japanese shoe maker. It targets runners who need pronation support with moderate experience (not newbies).
As already mentioned Mizuno has been busy with this update. The new eye let on the top most portion of the lacing area includes a reinforced area with two holes. This gives runners some freedom to adjust the lace in different positions for a better secured heel. Experienced runners will appreciate this feature as many have their own way of locking down a shoe.
This motion control running shoes by Mizuno made headlines with its new midsole. The upgraded midsole has the familiar wave plate that has been updated to the Double Fan Wave. The mid sole offers a very smooth transition from the complicated heel area to the simpler forefoot area.
Testers of the shoe have commented on how this updated sole provides so much better stability and flexibility compared to the previous iteration. The forefoot is now much more cushioned making this shoe welcome for those who have normal arches as well.
What’s best about the new Mizuno Wave Alchemy 10 is that it does all this at just 12 ounces. Shoes for flat feet generally weigh much more. At this weight level it approaches stability shoes category.
The new flex eyelets also pull on some support wraps of the upper to give the shoe a snug fit on the arches. This shoe retails for $110 USD.
This shoe is great for runners of all sizes wanting a light motion control running shoe. Those who need moderate stability will love the new cushioned sole and the lighter flexibility.
